Though I've now added an option in the profile menu that allows you to set the type of "preview" image that is shown. (on a youtube video, click the 'options' link down the bottom left)
This is mainly for those eeejits still using DACS, as the preview image tends to be around 240K, whilst the single-frame image is about 30K
If you're really fascist, you can set the image to none - in which case you'll get the generic 'click to open' message.
In addition, when posting a youtube video, you can now change the default image type by adding the keywords 'single' or 'none' after the youtube ID. However, this only works when you use the 'media' format for posting videos, such as:
